wow new blogger... well maybe now I can get my archives working... one of these days.

I now consider myself a cheesesteak expert. Thats good, because I know a good cheesesteak when I eat it, and I know how to make the best - you know.... BUT unfortunately ill never be able to eat another diner cheesteak (or steakum) sandwich. They suck.

Yesterday I got together with my sisters and my mom. We were celebrating dianes birthday (44) my sisters are nuts, emotional, women. Diane came up from NJ and met us at this Inn place with expensive food. It was nice to be together as a family... we always miss dad so much. I especially missed him yesterday because I was the only male in the group (besides Liam who is 2) Maria went along, while candace was working. Anyway, did i mention that my sisters are all a bit on the loopy side?

The food at the Inn was lame... I paid $11 (plus tax and tip) for 3 small sausage links some diner fries that were ok, a buch of greens, and a slice of unripe tomato. Dag I hate fancy restraunts... the sausage was the worst sausage I ever had in my life... it was venisin (which I usually like) but this must have had lemon or vinegar or something in it. Or maybe they were just half rotten... at least thats how they tasted. Id been 10x happier with a McDonalds burger - and it would have been a whole lot quicker, and cheaper.

BUT

eating at a fancy restraunt makes you feel like you are rich (which I am not) and the ladies love it for some reason... give me a hunk of meat on a stick - thats ok with me... whatever.

spent some time with the guys tonight... doing critical analysis, research and development - thats right we went to Genos and Pat's (in philly) for Cheesesteaks. They are two competing places across the street from each other. The reason for the research - I had only previously driven past the place once in my life, and this friday, we have advertised a "phily" cheesesteak fundraiser dinner at Zion. (did you get your tickets yet?) To be honest, I think I can do at least as good as these places, although, the cost is an issue, maybe we should have charged more for the tickets.

Danny, JP, and Andrew went, we stopped at Sam Ash first to look at some drums (I think I am almost ready to buy... anyone want to vote on the color?) anyway, back to the cheesesteaks. We split up, and each got a sandwich, which we then divided, and shared across the table... so Each of us had a sandwich from both places. We all agreed that they were pretty good, but not the best we ever had in our lives - but it was cool to go anyway, and experience the historical place, and a real flavor of Philly.
It was fun to hang out with these guys.

Well I didnt get much ACTV work done today, I slept in , but then spent the afternoon repairing Candaces Grandmothers corner table which someone at Youth Group mashed two of the legs off of it... I know it was a little bit unstable to begin with, but I am sort of miffed that someone would have broken the legs off, and then not said anything to anybody about it... its just totally not the responsible thing to do - to break other people stuff, and then not take resposibility for it.

something Ive been thinking about
[33] But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. [34] Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I like Jons blog it inspires me to write, and I gotta say that I know I need to blog more... but you know the excitement has worn off a little...

Jon likes to complain... I know he gets paid ministry wages, but it really could be worse.... I mean there are plenty of people his age who scoop crap for a living - farmers and stuff... and he complains about a freakin newsletter ha

I like to blog, but my connection is so slow at home, I end up doing all my computer work at WORK and then I just try to do the most important things like check email etc.
bla bla bla like anyone cares.

anyway, I shopped for drums online tonight for a while. Our youth group needs to buy a kit Any suggestions from the readers? Mapex?

I ate two philly cheese steaks today... one for Brunch, and one for dinner. Im learning to make them for the fundraiser this coming friday at Zion Mennonite church... anyway, they both rocked, The first one had onions green peppers and some other cheeze on a soft roll.... the second one had just onions and american cheese on a hard roll. I knew there was a debate in philly about the perfect steak sandwich, but i didnt know it was this bad. check out the perfect philly cheesesteak and also this interesting and fun article about the cheesesteak project anyway, I think mine taste great, but I still got a week to make em better.

anyway, yall gotta show up, because the sandwiches are gonna be tops... and because they are serving cheezecake... now about fundraising??? Anyway, its this friday June 27 around 6:30 or so. We are raising funds for our summer missions trip. Rock on.

Maria is a doll - a slobbery doll but lots of fun.

Hey I wonder if anyone ever tried to market that kind of doll... "the new drool doll from hasbro, slobbers real clear slime - impress your friends, scare your little brother"

Anyway, Maria is almost 4 months old, and wow. She sleeps great in her bed - like 12 hours with only just a short feeding somewhere in there. I love to hold her whenever I can. she is starting to have trouble sleeping in places like church etc. I'm not sure what parents usually do - I guess we have a sleeping nursery at church, maybe we should try that? You know the one that looks like a zoo with 4 cages with bars. hmmm
I really look forward to wednesdays. I can just chill at the house and get some housework done, and play with Maria - its cool.

Blogging is slowly fading as part of my life. If you are interested, I probably spend more time on Facebook connecting and posting comments these days.
